ICON LOVE.

I miss having a cat.

I'm not sure what kind of thing you feel like reading, but if they've got any old plays by Seneca on there, I always find them a hoot.

I'd temporarily forgotten about Project Gutenberg during my love affair with my Amazon card (mmm points), thanks for reminding me.

There's an awesome bizarre one that you might not have heard of, the memoirs of a Victorian ratcatcher. (Can't think of the title off the top of my head, but searching "ratcatcher" should find it.)

We were lucky in my BoE that there was an international center in the same building, so we would just hide out there and waste 4 months out of the year on Something Awful, YouTube, and bringing DVD box sets to marathon. Still it was the most godawful boring thing, and completely impossible to accomplish anything because of the crushing boredom. I was so jealous of friends who were told "Just show up 9-12 during breaks" or "Just take August as vacation, no reason to come in." That damn "ESID"..

I admit that I spent an awful lot of my school breaks rereading epic X-Files and Highlander fanfic. Two of my coworkers would study for JLPT 4+ hours a day, it boggled my mind. Later, one guy would show up 30% of the time, and just lay down on the carpet and sleep all day. Another guy would drive his scooter to work, punch in, and then go home until punch-out time. No one ever called anyone on it, even though they realized that they weren't showing up. --; I'm such a wimp.

Well, there's LM Montgomery...I was looking for books I read when I was younger and they aren't there, mostly.

If you could only put earphones in your ears, you could go to www.tudou.com and type in the (English) name of almost any cable thing and you would be able to enjoy these cable things. Haha, I hope to be vague because I need the website to stay up, and I don't know if anyone will take it down if they find it by randomly searching the net.
